Buenos dias/Bonjour:
We held our second annual Science Fair at Westgate School yesterday. It was a great success! The quality and variety of projects produced
by the grade 3 and 4 Science Club participants was exceptional. The
success of the Science Fair was a result of the hard work of students and of the support parents provided at home. I was impressed by the excellent inquiry questions students had asked, by the depth of the research and experimentation that was conducted, and by the ability of the students to articulate their findings.
The Science Fair would not have been possible without the support of Michelle Dirk and Dee-Ann Evans. On behalf of the entire Westgate school community, I would like to thank you for your time, expertise and hard work. There were many other volunteers
involved as well: those who came to the eight lunch time clubs to help students with their projects, those who helped set up,
repair/clean up projects throughout the day, those who provided moral support to
the students, those who judged the project and finally, those who helped in the evening and stayed
afterwards to make clean-up a snap. I would also like to thank these parents for their dedication to our school community.
