Stream of Dreams

We are excited to announce that Westgate School is partnering with the Calgary Stream of Dreams Society to build a "fence fish" mural and provide students with valuable lessons about watershed protection.

We require volunteers to assist with several tasks:

April 1 from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm
Location: Westgate Outdoor Rink
Volunteers may also be required on April 6th

Painting the wooden fish. Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring paint brushes, trays, rollers, and tarps if you have them.

April 4, 5, 11-15
Volunteers for morning and afternoon shifts to supervise and assist children while they paint their fish.

April 18 & 19
Installation of fish on fence. For this task you will need work gloves and it would help if you could also bring wire cutters and pliers.

If you are interested in participating in this project, please contact Brandi Dyck at brandidyck@hotmail.com.

Further information on the Stream of Dreams project can be found at Stream of Dreams or contact Sue Scott at suzanne88scott@gmail.com.

Parent Teacher Conferences

On Thursday, March 10th, and Friday, March 11th, 2016, we will hold our final round of Parent Teacher Conferences. The purpose of these conferences is to discuss student progress and next steps in learning. We ask parents and guardians to bring their student(s) with them to the conference so that students may share two pieces of work.

The on-line booking system is now open. A link to the Conference Manager is located under Quicklinks on the main page of our website.

We look forward to seeing you!

Our Library will be holding a fundraising book fair during Parent/Teacher Conferences, March 9th –11th, 2016.

Book Fair Hours:
March 9th: 3:00 - 6:00pm
