Before the winter break, Mme Charlebois’ grade 5 class researched various celebrations from around the world and wrote descriptive poems about each of them. They then recorded themselves reading their poems, submitted them to a “Christmas Radio Special” contest put on by 101.5 KooL FM, and crossed their fingers that their poems would be chosen to air on the radio. A short while later, they were informed that a small segment of their submission would play on the radio on December 24th and 25th. Needless to say, they were very excited!
