Mini-Winter Carnival

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have postponed our Mini-Winter Carnival that was to occur on Monday, February 2^nd.  This includes the Cabane à Sucre and the ice sculpture activities.

If you volunteered your time to help us on Monday, we will not require your assistance but we thank you for volunteering your time.

We are in the process of rescheduling these activities and will provide you with further details when available.

Report Card / Non-instructional Day Reminder

Report cards are being sent home with students today.  Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place in March.

A reminder that tomorrow, Friday, January 30th, is a non-instructional day and there is no school for students.

Flags at half-mast on Monday January 26 in Honour of Fallen RCMP Officer

You may have noticed that the flag at Westgate School was flying at half-mast today.  In recognition of today's funeral for Constable Wynn, Calgary Board of Education schools were flying their flags at half-mast in honour of the fallen RCMP member who lost his life in St. Albert.

CPF French Family Fun Weekend

The Canadian Parents for French are holding a fun-filled family weekend full of French and bilingual activities for French and non-French speakers.

School Council Meeting

All parents are invited to attend our January School Council Meeting on January 22, 2015 at 6:30 pm.  The Alberta School Councils' Association will be presenting a 90 minute workshop entitled "Purpose."  The workshop will provide a refresher to parents about the role of the school council in the school community.  The regular agenda for the school council meeting will follow the workshop at 8:00 pm.  Click here to see the January agenda and minutes of the November meeting.
